What is it like to live in Cincinnati?

November 4, 2020 By CincyRents Leave a Comment

Cincinnati is located in southwestern Ohio and sits near the border of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.  Cincinnati, settled in 1788, is now a top-30 metro area in the United States and the largest metro area in the state of Ohio.  Cincinnati has a lower crime rate than similarly sized metro areas.  It also has a booming job market ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. Add all of that to the fact that Cincinnati’s housing expenses are 24% lower than the national average and you get all the perks of a big city and a small town.

Attractions: What is there to do in Cincinnati?

Cincinnati offers everything from professional and collegiate sports to art museums, a top-rated zoo and botanical garden, and one of the most beloved classical music venues in the country.  U.S. News and World Report ranked Cincinnati in the Top 10 Best Parks Systems in the United States.  Cincinnati has a wide variety of attractions whether you like amusement parks, fine dining, concerts, food festivals, shopping, urban exploration, or outdoor activities.  For a more comprehensive list, see Cincy Rents Attraction page and follow this blog for more updates.

Climate: What is the weather like in Cincinnati?

Many people love that Cincinnati has four distinct seasons.  Winters usually see enough snow to give the kids a few days off of school and give the city a scenic look.  Spring warms up for Reds baseball and the many Cincinnati Parks and the Cincinnati Botanical Garden. Summer gets even warmer which draws people to Kings Island or one of many waterparks in Cincinnati.  Fall brings a scenic change in leaf colors with access to pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and other fall favorites. For a more practical month-to-month breakdown see the Cincy Rent’s Weather page.
