Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Covington is a Northern Kentucky city located just across the Ohio River from downtown Cincinnati. \u00a0Lots of helpful information can be found on their official website<\/a>\u00a0or on their Wikipedia<\/a> page. \u00a0Covington is full of history and culture and is a short ride across the river from Cincinnati’s central business district.<\/p>\n

Covington has 20 parks<\/a> for people and families to enjoy, ranging from pools and waterparks to trails and picnic shelters. \u00a0In addition, golf is an option at Devou Park<\/a>, which also boasts a scenic view of downtown and the river. \u00a0Covington also is well positioned for those interested in arts and culture;\u00a0Covington Arts<\/a>\u00a0is a community-wide art initiative with many events throughout the year and a gallery in downtown Covington. \u00a0Given its location, Covington is very convenient for going to a Reds or Bengals game or any activity at The Banks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When it comes to education, Covington has several options. \u00a0Covington Independent Public School System is “the largest independent school system in the State of Kentucky. The district has a preschool, five elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and an alternative program. Covington also is one of few high schools in Kentucky that operates its own career and technical center.”1<\/sup>\u00a0Part of Covington is served by the Kenton County School District<\/a>, which is the fifth largest district in Kentucky. \u00a0There are also a number of parochial schools for those interested in private or religious education. \u00a0The Covington Dioscese<\/a>\u00a0hosts 29 elementary schools and 9 secondary schools, with two of the most notable being\u00a0Covington Latin School<\/a> and Covington Catholic School<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Covington also is home to higher education with Gateway Community & Technical College<\/a> and\u00a0Northern Kentucky University<\/a>. \u00a0NKU is a sizeable state university with over 15,000 students and an NCAA Division I basketball program. \u00a0Residents of Covington can enjoy in-state tuition prices and access to its many colleges and degree programs.<\/p>\n
