Biking trails are abundant in and around Cincinnati.\u00a0 Whether you want to bike on the city trails or take in the views of the Ohio river there is a bike trail for everyone.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Armleder Park Trail<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This trail is part of the Otto Armleder Park located just east of Cincinnati loops along wide, paved route within 238 acres of open meadows.\u00a0 Bike along the southeast end of the park to overlook the Little Miami River or along the southwest side of Armleder Park to connectt with Lunken Airport\u2019s bike path.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Devou Park<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you are wanting some Cincinnati views, visit Covington\u2019s Devou Park.\u00a0 Ride up to Devou\u2019s highest hill, Memorial Overlook, for a panoramic view of Cincinnati and Covington.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ride over eight miles of their backcountry biking trails or take a more casual ride down their paved trails.\u00a0 Biking is a perfect way of transportation through the park to enjoy all it has to offer including scenic nature trails, golf, picnic areas, fishing, museum, tennis, concerts, and more.\u00a0 Bike rentals within Devou Park are available by the hour or the day with various options to meet your or your family\u2019s needs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Giles Conrad Park<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Giles Conrad Park in Boone County is perfect for any biking beginners.\u00a0 Offering a flat paved 1.3 mile walking and biking trail,\u00a0 it features a mixture of river views and large open green space.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ideal for a day with kids; after a family bike ride enjoy a picnic overlooking the Ohio River or play on the playground area, basketball court, or fitness stations also located in the park.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

International Friendship Park<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This riverside biking trail is perfect for beginners.\u00a0 Young ones can enjoy an easy, smooth ride with plenty of other attractions to stop and rest along the way if needed such as landscaping, award-wining sculptures, and even restaurants. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conveniently located east of Downtown Cincinnati, there is no reason not to visit Friendship Park for a quick bike ride.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Loveland Bike Trail<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

70 miles of trail staged from Loveland, Milford, Newtown, Miami Township, and Lebanon make up what is affectionately known as \u201cLoveland Bike Trail.\u201d\u00a0 It is actually part of Little Miami State Park and most of the trail follows an old railway of the Little Miami Steam Railroad.\u00a0 The trial now hosts free parking, restrooms, picnic tables, coffee, ice cream shops, restaurants, entertainment, and bike rentals.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Lunken Airport Bike Path<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This 5-mile bike trail loops around Cincinnati\u2019s municipal Lunken Airport.\u00a0 While riding you can view airplanes arriving and taking off from the airport and enjoy river views from the wide paved path. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Lunken Airport Bike Path is part of the Ohio River Trail and connects at Wilmer Avenue.\u00a0 Follow the river to downtown Cincinnati.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Newport Southbank Bridge<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Newport Southbank Bridge, or Purple People Bridge, after a renovation in 2003 reopened the bridge to walkers and bikers.\u00a0 The bridge connects Sawyer Point and Yeatman\u2019s Cove along the riverfront of Cincinnati with the Newport on the Levee development of Kentucky. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ohio to Erie Trail<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Spanning the state of Ohio from Cincinnati to Cleveland, the Ohio to Erie Trail is a collection of regional trails connecting four of Ohio\u2019s metropolitan cities, large towns, and small villages.\u00a0 Primarily composed of off-street recreational easily accessible and paved trails.\u00a0 In 201,7 it was measured to be 326 miles long.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ohio River Trail<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

There is some exciting news for Cincinnati bike riders in 2020.\u00a0 The 23 mile Ohio River Trail is currently being worked on to connect downtown, riverfront parks, and many neighborhoods.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

According to the city of Cincinnati website<\/a>, several segments of the trail have been completed: 0.5 miles along Mehring Way from Main Street to Broadway Street; 0.6 miles through T.M. Berry International Friendship Park; and 3.9 miles between Corbin Street and Salem Road.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The portion of the Ohio River Trail from Paul Brown Stadium to the west has been completed at one location, Fernbank Park, and two more segments of Ohio River Trail West are planned to be constructed by 2020.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
